Hi! I’m Julie. I love to write, enough so that I pursued a career as a writer, sort of. I worked in television news for 8 years, writing stories and editing copy as a producer-turned-Executive-Producer.
I also like routine and TV news is rarely that, so I sought my escape in 2007.
I now work at Kids to Love, a Madison, Alabama-based non-profit organization that meets the needs of foster children. I have been there for 13 years. (13 years?!??) I get to write there, too, as the Communications Director.
As the calendar turned to 2018, I felt God nudging me toward writing my own story, more specifically, my story of faith. His calling led me to a box of letters and cards my daddy mailed to me during my college years. He passed away in 2007. As I began to trace my faith, a lot of it which was strengthened through his words in those letters, I realized my faith roots were planted by him (and my mom, of course.)
So, this blog is, or one day will be, my story.
I have a husband, Jeff, and 2 daughters, Abby Kate and Lily. Our girls give me lots of stories, so you’ll hear about them, too.
